What do I want/need to find out? *What needs to be done? *What is the assignment? 2. Where should I look for information? *What can I use to find what I need? *What are good sources of information? *How will I decide if it is the best information? 3. How do I use the sources I find? *Do I look, listen, read or ask someone? *How will I use the source to find the right information? (index, guide words, table of contents, passwords, etc.) 4. How do I save the information I think will be useful? *What can I use from these sources? *How will I gather notes? (note cards, graphic organizer, drawing, etc.) *Be sure to give credit to the sources I used. 5. How do I share what I have learned? *How do I put my information together to show what I have learned? *Organize and present the information. (report, poster, pamphlet, article, drawing or photograph with caption, comic strip, diorama, poem or song, clay model, letter, journal entry, etc.) *Make rough draft, edit, and revise for a final copy. 6. What worked well?
