English 10
Welcome to English 10! We will be reading A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry, Animal Farm by George Orwell, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, and one mythology-themed book (you get to choose from The Odyssey, The Wanderings of Odysseus, Troy High, or The Lightning Thief). I think these are all great novels and we will enjoy reading and discussing them. We will also be studying grammar, vocabulary, and other aspects of the English language, and will be practicing for the New York State Regents Exam in English, coming up in eleventh grade.
