A yearly exam is required for all students in interscholastic sports. A students needs one physical for ALL sports during the year unless a significant injury or extended absence occurs. If a student is absent from school for a prolonged illness or receives a significant injury, he/she must have written approval from a physician before returning to competition. The school nurse will conduct a review and update of the student’s health history prior to the start of tryouts or practices at the beginning of each session. Any student whose safe participation is in question will be referred to a physician for re-qualification. All pupils must receive an eligibility card from school nurse prior to practice.
